I just think it’s funny (peculiar, not “haha”) that, at least from what I’ve noticed, people who aren’t from the U.S. originally, or their families aren’t from here etc, they like love it. They just LOVE  the U.S.. They really believe that this is the land of opportunities.

I live here. My family came on the Mayflower; my family has been here since the beginning. You think that I would be the biggest patriot ever. But no. I like what the U.S. has done for many people, it’s wonderful; hosting refugees and such. Like idk.

I mean, yeah so we have the nice things like freedom of speech and opinion and such you know? That’s wonderful. Thank-you. Really. Otherwise I’d be killed for saying this. I’m glad we have most of the rights that we do.

But really. The U.S. isn’t that great in my opinion. Our jobs sucks. We’re still fighting for gay rights? The fuck. Women still aren’t 100% equal (glass ceiling, anyone?). There’s just so much that’s still going wrong here. Why are we still fighting for things like that when the U.S. is supposed to be the ‘dream country’ for others. I just don’t understand.

I don’t even like saying “we”. I feel disgusted that I’m considered a part of this. Most of it at least… Like I said, why is there still a fight for gay rights?? I just don’t understand.

The politics here are fucked up in the head and it’s just wrong. The politicians here are manipulative and selfish and greedy and ugh.  The whole government is just messed up. DID YOU KNOW THAT if you have dual citizenship, and you’re married to a (for example) a man who only has a French citizenship and you live and work in France and earn French money and you put it in your French bank account, that the U.S. demands you to report your earnings you earned in France AND YOUR HUBBY’S MONEY WHO ISN’T EVEN A CITIZEN back to the U.S. for taxes. It’s not even U.S. money. It’s french money and they’re expecting you to pay taxes even if you don’t live there.

Fucked up, right?

Okay I need to stop talking about this cause I’m getting pissed off.

I don’t care if I get hate (I doubt it cause no one reads what I post anyways) but whatever. It’s my opinion.
